To My Dear Friends in Boating
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, a very happy Hanukkah and most all a wonderful New Year,
and that all of you will be blessed with much Love, Peace and Joy in the coming days ahead.
As a New Boating Season begins I would like to thank everyone for their vote of confidence in me to
lead our boating club as the new Commodore Elect for the year 2012.
At this time I would also like to thank the members, who stepped forward to be the Officers, Directors,
Fleet Captain ,Chaplin, Ships Chandler and my Advisor and to all of you who took on the
responsibilities of doing the rendezvous. Again much appreciation is given to all you.
I would like to thank our Commodore Edmond Gauvreau for the exceptional work he did this past year
in steering us on a fine course. The outings, the food, the games (marshmallows in the bucket) and even
the weather was great.
The Commodore’s Ball was a wonderful event. We had delicious food, great music for dancing or just
listening too, and best of all good friends to share it all with. It was an evening to remember. Again
Thank You Commodore Edmond Gauvreau.
Congratulations’ to our Trophy Winners. The Paul Caruso Trophy (Boating Family of The Year)The
Fougerousse family(Susan, John and John Jr.) ,The Kenneth Koppin Award(Out Standing Club
Member) Kenneth Chrzanowski, the Dalesandro Award( Best Photograph) Stan Kwasnik, The Blunder
Best Award to Commodore Edmond Gauvreau.
As of yet we are still in need of a Vice Commodore. It is a very important seat to fill for without it the
club may not continue into the year 2013. If you need assistance to fulfill the position we will help.
We have many new and exciting events planned this coming year. Ken Chrzanowski is planning a
Baseball, Fireworks, and Dinner night. John Jr. is planning a dinner in Frankenmuth, Christine Los is
looking into a fall bus trip to a casino over night etc., Bob Finnigan is planning a trip to Cleveland and
we have been invited to the Grosse Isle Yacht club for a rendezvous and much, much more.
The installation of Officers will be held January 11th at island cove marina at 7pm., appetizers will be
served. It is a nice evening to mingle with friends. Please come.
Our first event for the year will be a Super Bowl Party at island cove marina. Look to the calendar for
information.
Please remember to mail in your dues for 2012 or you’ll miss all the fun!
